Sailing for the Disabled’s Latest Adventure: Douglas to Whitehaven

Last Friday, our crew set sail from Douglas, heading towards Port Erin for an overnight anchorage. The following day brought a thrilling challenge as we navigated strong spring tides and Force 6 winds en route to Whithorn, Scotland. After a well-earned break and lunch at anchor in Whithorn, we were refreshed and ready for the next leg. We then continued on to Kirkcudbright, where we anchored for dinner, before preparing for a midnight sail to Whitehaven. In true adventurous spirit, we faced Force 7 winds and demanding conditions, yet the crew and boat performed exceptionally well. We are pleased to report that the entire crew is safe and sound in Whitehaven, reflecting on an exciting and rewarding journey. A big thanks to everyone who helped make this voyage another success!
