New Lifejackets
One of the regular outlays for Sailing for the Disabled is the replacement of our lifejacket portfolio.
Lifejackets generally have a long lifespan, and with regular maintenance can last up to 10 years. However, we set our own timescales on lifejacket replacement, looking to replace critical safety equipment within a 4-5 year cycle.
Our current lifejackets were purchased in 2016, re-armed in 2019, and now the decision has been made to replace them.

Initial indications / pricing has identified that the cost of the replacements will likely be c£5,000!

Fundraising Update!
We are regularly astounded by the generosity of our community!
An approach to “Crewsaver” to confirm the cost of these items has resulted in the company offering to donate 12 adult, 2 adult extra-large, and 8 children’s lifejackets, free of charge! We have now received the lifejackets and this amounts to a sponsorship from Crewsaver in excess of £5,000 at retail prices.
