Meet our new Corporate Fundraising Lead, Chris Cain

We’re pleased to introduce Chris Cain, our newly appointed Corporate Fundraising Lead. Chris brings a strong professional background, a genuine passion for volunteering, and a growing connection to the charity through his time on the water and behind the scenes.

“Hi my name is Chris, I’m a Customer Support Manager at Zurich International Life, working with corporate clients in Group Protection. I bring two years’ experience in life insurance, built on 18 years in banking across business development, international payments, and compliance.

Alongside my professional role, I’m highly committed to volunteering. I mentor A-level students through Junior Achievement, helping them build confidence and prepare for future careers. I have also been involved with Sailing for the Disabled for over a year, supporting the charity through its sailing and fundraising committee. It is a particularly rewarding organisation to be part of, helping to create inclusive opportunities and seeing first-hand the positive impact it has on individuals.

Through my involvement in sailing for the disabled, I have strengthened my teamwork, communication and adaptability while supporting my health. Working closely with a diverse range of people has enhanced my ability to build meaningful relationships and engage effectively across different environments.

Outside of work, I’m a dad to two daughters (7 and 10) and value time spent together, especially cooking and baking, maintaining a positive balance between family, work, and community life.”

As Chris steps into this new role, we’re excited to see how his experience, energy, and commitment will help strengthen our existing corporate partnerships while also building new relationships. His work will play an important part in supporting and sustaining the continued impact of Sailing for the Disabled.
