I left the Isle of Man to start my trip (see part 1 for the background) starting with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. It was going to be a very special experience, and I was not fully sure what to expect.
The whole trip was described by someone as “treacherous” I think I prefer adventurous.
I flew Isle of Man-Manchester-Copenhagen and had to stay overnight in Copenhagen as the flight to Greenland left too early to connect. This was no hardship as I used to live in Copenhagen and really like the city. I dropped my bags at the airport hotel having arrived at lunchtime and headed into the city centre a 20-minute ride on the immaculate metro. I had lunch and a chance to wander around before meeting some friends for dinner.
