Sailing for the Disabled recently received a donation of £250 from Lloyds Bank colleagues on the Isle of Man. The photograph is of Jo Timpson from Lloyds presenting the cheque to Paul Atkinson and Chris Wood from SFTD. The donation was requested by Lloyds colleague Jo Timpson who has a strong family connection to SFTD. The donation is in memory of her late grandfather Ray Kelso who was one of the founding members of SFTD and on the first committee. He was landlord of the Creg Ny Baa pub and meetings were held in the pub and boats stored in the car park. Jo’s aunt Janet Kelso was on the first fund raising committee, I am sure that Ray and Janet had no idea where the initial idea was going to lead 40 years later! Jo and Janet were guests at the recent launch event at Laxey Glen Gardens. A huge thank you to Jo and all her colleagues at Lloyds for making this donation.
