Training update

Programme to include:-
Who we are, what we do, how we do it and why
(in pairs) name ten things to do to prepare the boat for a sail:-
A down below
B on Deck
Review and provision of ‘answer sheets’ in the form of ‘Preparing to sail’.
Illustrations of ‘leaving the berth’ -practical demonstration
Illustrations of returning to berth -practical demonstration
Review of session activity
‘Sign up’ for a programme of evening ‘static’ training sessions in Oct/Nov Dec.
A monthly two hour session for up to ten ‘crew’  to cover crew activities and responsibilities,
Including crewing, sailing, awareness, and acting as carer for a nominated client
Also to demonstrate use of ramps lifts and hoists for more disabled clients
Special arrangements may be made for any member wishing to take Day Skipper Theory(RYA)
Or other RYA practical programmes to lead to Mate and Skipper ( we will ‘point you’ in the right direction!)
